The many voices of Bharat
The poet hears Bharat celebrating its varied vocations. Craftspersons celebrate their craft, woven with colours and many hues; artisans with lutes hail varied emotions and dreams echoing in the streets; carpenters create anything out of wood with mathematical precision; electricians hum as they work with cables and wires to brighten our lives.
Dignity and identity of work
Boatmen gather their nets, sail and sing while at work, returning to tell tales of life at sea; shoemakers affirm the quality of their work for the feet that walk, dance, run and jump. The cook's 'delicious singing', the designer and the mason each celebrate what belongs to them and to none else. The poet concludes that the voice of one's vocation is the voice of one's identity, and again hears Bharat celebrating its varied voices.
